I have written many other stories which, if not cyberpunk, then are in close dialogue with it, including a novel published in 1994. Juan Miguel Aguilera: A lot of the Orbis collection was based on the Ultramar collection, also spearheaded by Domingo Santos. The breech isolates the shooters face from case rupture with two layers of 1.6 mm steel. I'd like to recommend the Ghost in the Shell series by Masamune Shirow.

Japan itself is visually depicted as fairly similar to its modern state (albeit with more advanced technology), rather than being a devastated Wretched Hive. Bands whose music has been classified as cyberpunk include Psydoll, Front Line Assembly, Clock DVA and Sigue Sigue Sputnik. Verne wrote incredibly detailed stories about space travel and submarines before any such travel on a large scale was practical, and he laid the foundation for arguably the greatest science fiction writer ever.
